Miri Né Sori translates to “Milky Way sound” in Korean. In the Pan-asian myth “The Cowherd and the Weaver”, appear two lovers who are separated by the Milky Way on opposite ends of the sky. They can meet only once a year by way of a bridge made of magpie birds. This duo performance explores this (im)possibility, where distinct voices emerging from two bodies encounter each other through ‘365 Days Counting’ score. Overlapping voices traverse a spectrum of expressions—counting, humming, screaming, gasping for breath—conveying the yearning and sorrow of striving toward wholeness.

Premiered at Uferstudios S14 as thesis presentation of MA program SoDA at HZT-Berlin.
